About Condor

Condor (IATA code: DE) is Germany’s largest leisure airline, founded in 1955 and based at Frankfurt. It became independent after the collapse of parent Thomas Cook in 2019 and has since renewed its long-haul fleet with Airbus A330neos.

From the United States it serves cities including New York, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Anchorage and Fairbanks — a mix that includes leisure markets the legacy carriers underserve.

Condor is a leisure carrier, so fares are unbundled and the product sits below Lufthansa on the same route. Where the price gap is large it is genuinely good value; our agents quote the all-in cost including bags so you can judge.

Condor — Frequently Asked Questions

  • Usually, on the same route. It is a leisure carrier with an unbundled fare, so the headline price is lower but bags and seats cost extra. Our agents price both all-in.

  • New York, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Anchorage and Fairbanks, among others. Many routes are seasonal — we confirm for your dates.

  • Condor has operated independently since 2019 and renewed its long-haul fleet with A330neos. As a leisure carrier it has fewer daily frequencies than Lufthansa, so recovery from a disruption can be slower.

  • Light excludes checked baggage and has the tightest change rules. On a transatlantic trip the step up to Classic is often cheaper than adding a bag later.
