AirAsia (IATA code: AK) is the largest low-cost carrier in Asia, based at Kuala Lumpur International Airport with affiliated operations across Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and India.
It is generally the cheapest way to move around Southeast Asia. The fares are unbundled to the same degree as Ryanair: a seat and a small cabin bag only, with checked baggage, seats and meals all sold separately. There is no US service.
