About Aeroméxico
Aeroméxico (IATA code: AM) is the flag carrier of Mexico, founded in 1934 and based at Mexico City International Airport. It is the country’s only full-service network carrier, competing at home against the low-cost operators Volaris and VivaAerobús.
Aeroméxico serves more than 90 destinations across Mexico, the rest of the Americas, Europe and Asia. Its US network is extensive, with service from more than a dozen American cities into Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancún and Los Cabos.
The airline is a SkyTeam member and operates a transborder joint venture with Delta, which makes combined US–Mexico itineraries seamless. For travelers connecting beyond Mexico City to a secondary Mexican city, Aeroméxico usually offers a smoother single-ticket routing than piecing together a low-cost carrier.

Volaris and VivaAerobús often advertise lower headline fares, but they charge separately for bags and seats and offer less recovery when something goes wrong. For a trip with a connection or checked luggage, Aeroméxico frequently costs the same or less all-in. We price both.
